About the Author

John DeMers is the author of more than fifty books covering food, wine, travel, history, biography and religion. A New Orleans native with homes in Houston and Marfa, Texas, DeMers has written about barbecue in Follow the Smoke and about his quarter-century on the radio in The Delicious Mischief Texas Cookbook.
